' I want see the glory!' says the seeker
' Then be still, ' says the mystic.
' Stand by the water and you shall see the glory.' And with that the mystics leaves.
So the seeker stands by the water, but due to recent rain, it is too much muddy to see anything.
So the seeker, wondering what possible good can come from standing still, wades in, disturbing the water in search of the glory.
And the mystic returns.
' What are you doing? ' they ask. ' I told you to be still. Stay still and you shall see the glory.'
And with that they leave.
So the seeker stands still, but again feel stupid. With the best will in the world, what can this possibly achieve?. So again they wade in, disturbing the water in search of glory.
And then the mystic returns.
'What are you doing? ' they ask ' Didn't I tell you to be still? Stay still and you shall see the glory.'
And with that, they leave.
So this time the seeker stays still by the water. And left undisturbed, the muddy water soon becomes clear- clear like a mirror, in which the seeker can see themselves.
' Behold the glory! ' says the mystic
I sometimes feel I achieve more in one minute of staying still than I do in eight hours at work. It's a bit like at the source of river where everything begins :)
nota kaki : feel more relax :)
